The Classic City Kiwanis Club had a very successful fund raiser by grilling 950 chickens on November 4th, 2006. Many members joined by several volunteers got together early Saturday morning to slow-cook these chicken halves using Sam Massey's secret family recipe.

Proceeds from this semiannual service event were allocated to the Clarke Central High "Dugout Club" (baseball team), Interfaith Hospitality, as well as earmarked for Special Olympics in Athens and other childrens' groups.
